Primary job duties include, but are not limited to:

Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft PowerAutomate developer to provide primary development and support for our complex aggregated key risk indicator dashboard.

This person will be accountable for understanding the methods utilized to provide visibility to risk at Caterpillar, developing visibility to new KRIs, working with other global teams, and ensuring that our dashboard is consistently available to our user base.

As a primary developer, will engage with a Product Owner regularly who will help direct your development work.

We leverage agile development practices and consistently look to make continuous improvements.

Your average day will be working with team-members and extended risk owners typically located in North America.

Your focus will be on coding and development to prepare for regular quarterly releases.

Will also be asked to provide technical support for compliance related projects requiring Microsoft Power BI or Power Automate proficiency.

Assists in developing, testing, and implementing application systems.

Participates in developing, coding, and testing computer programs for multiple projects.

Participate in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.

Creates detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple application programs.

Contribute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.

What You Have - Skills and Experiences:

Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.

Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and technology platforms.

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
